The short version
A register for a short instrument that is easy to misread.
This site is built and published by Gerard Blokdyk at The Art of Service. It states each provision in our own words, cites the section or item, and separates the ten items already in force from the one that starts on 1 July 2027. It does not quote the instrument, and it does not certify anyone.
What was read
- The as made text of F2026L00927, retrieved 21 October 2026: sections 1 to 4, Schedule 1 Part 1 items 1 to 10, Part 2 item 11 and the commencement table.
- The Explanatory Statement registered with the instrument: purpose and operation, the two standards, the consequential amendments, commencement, Attachment A and Attachment B.
- Compilation 19 of the 2017 Principles, dated 13 July 2026: sections 6, 11 and 12, Schedule 1 clause 1 and item 20, and the amendment history.
- F2026L00934, the No. 4 instrument, which re-enacted item 4 without the comma.
- The Commission's Pathology Standards page, for the working address of the two Sixth Edition 2026 documents.
What the record does not claim
It does not claim that the instrument imposes a direct duty on a laboratory. It does not claim that the whole instrument starts in 2027. It does not reproduce the standards. It does not decide whether a particular in-house IVD is a class 1, 2 or 3 device. It does not treat the Explanatory Statement's Attachment A error as the law. It does not give an insurer a duty the text does not create.
How the pages are made
One reviewed data file drives every page, the free check, the kit and the watch. The file carries a source pointer on every field and a retrieval date. No page is written from memory or from a search snippet. The refresh script re-reads the official text, diffs it against the record and fails loudly when the commencement table, a title or an item changes.
